When Chris Rocks daughter, Lola, came up to him crying and asked, Daddy, how come I don't have good hair? the bewildered comic committed himself to search the ends of the earth and the depths of black culture to find out who had put that question into his little girl's head! Director Jeff Stilsons camera followed the funnyman, and the result is Good Hair, a wonderfully insightful and entertaining, yet remarkably serious, documentary about African American hair culture.
I myself am addicted to creamy crack. As a child that was born with a lot of hair on her head...You do not want to see this without a perm. It's so funny because most of the time when people see a black girl especially a dark skin girl with long hair people automatically think that can't be her hair. I was in a Jamaican restaurant the other day and this girl came up to me and said "Wow that's some good hair where did you get it." I couldn't even get mad I told her its mine and then she apologized.
